Metal Tubing
The frames of the carts are made from 16 Gauge Aluminum Tubing. This is
considered extremely heavy for the application in which it is being used. I
wanted something that would stand up to some punishment.
Hardware All the extra hardware is either Stainless Steel (I mean the kind that actually does not rust, some of the cheaper versions do) or plastic.

Rod and Pole Holders
The Rod and Pole holders are made of ¼” X 1 ½” PVC. Dipped in liquid rubber /
plastic, with the Pole holders having a bolt thru the bottom so handles will not slide
thru. (Gaffs or fishing / bait nets) These holders are not going to get dented, or
broken to easily. They are screwed to the frame with # 14 x ¾” SS Screws. They
are NOT bolted because I did not want any protrusions on the inside of the frame.

Tires
There are 2 types of tires used on my carts.
I use a smaller 3” wide, 10” High tire for the
Collector, Pier, and Marina Models. The ones in the
Pictures are the old gold ones I first used. They are
of a metal content, although covered in clear coat
about 6 times so they last pretty good. I now have
plastic ones with nylon bushings, but still have some
metal ones left and will knock off some of the price
to those who want them. The Plastic rims have the
same tire on them as the metal does.
The 2nd tire I use for the Surf, Vacationer, and the
Rental models is a large tire, about 6” wide and 14 ½”
high. These tires are used on some riding lawn
mowers. They have a nylon bushing / bearing so they
will not rust.
Tires were the hardest part to figure out, and to get
a hold of. More than ½ the cart weight is tires, and
more than ½ the cost is tires. BUT, the tires are what
make the cart!
